120 Wescott Road, South Portland, ME 04106            (207) 773-5629

Meet our Department

Mrs. Raye-Lin Merry, Student Services Clerk; x3411

My name is Mrs. Merry, Guidance Clerk for Memorial Middle
School’s Student Services Department. I have worked at
Memorial since 2004 and really enjoy the middle school level
because each day is interesting and new and at times
challenging.

It is a privilege to be here to encourage and help students as they progress from 6 th
grade to High School and beyond. I find it heartwarming when former students visit us
after entering or graduating from High School. Memorial has an abundance of amazing
Teachers and Staff; this too makes me proud to be a part of the Memorial community.
We are here for Students, Staff, as well as, Parents/Guardians. Please give us a call or
email if you have questions about Memorial, we are happy to talk with you.
Have a wonderful day!

Mrs. Christine Stults, School Counselor; x 3412

Hello, I'm Mrs. Stults and I cover grades 6 and 7 for the 18/19 school year.  I am in my 4th year as the full time school counselor for Memorial; however, much of my background has been in the mental health field counseling or case managing youth in different settings.  I graduated from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT with a Master's degree in Art Therapy in 2002, and in 2015 I became certified by the Department of Education as a School Counselor.

I thoroughly enjoy working with youth of this age group because we litterly and figureitvely get to watch them grow, discover themselves, and find their way.  They are funny, sweet, fiesty, and challenging all at the same time.  They are learning to make independent choices, while still needing support to navigate what life brings them.

When I'm not working, I'm enjoying time with my family and our new puppy Lucky.

Mrs. Gretchen McCloy, School Counselor; x 3409

Hello I'm Gretchen McCloy, and for the 2018-19 school year she works with 8th graders, and is at Memorial on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.  I've been a School Counselor in Southern Maine for 10+ years, with five of those years being at Memorial.  I'm available for consultation with students and families on topics ranging from academics, to social, to mental health challenges to other out of school concerns.  I love helping students problem solve, and work on finding their path in life.  I also enjoy weaving Mindfulness exercises into my work with Memorial students.  Please reach out if you have a concern about your child, or someone within the Memorial community.

Miss Chelsea Feeney, Sweetser Clinician; x 3456

Hello!!  I was born and raised in Portland, Maine.  Received my Masters in Social Work at UNE and I have been in the social work field for about 10 years in various roles.  I am an animal lover who enjoys gaming, spending time outdoors, movies, reading, and watching those Red Sox and Patriots!  Until recently, much of my work was with families, which was focused in their homes and the community.  I have also just added to my resume and long list of skills a Reiki Practitioner that enjoys aroma therapy.
